• Bareback Riding: Ride a bucking Horse for 8 seconds using only one hand in a rigging mounted on the horse’s back while keeping your free hand from making contact with the horse. The rider is judged on how well he rides and the horse is judged on how well he bucks. 2 judges 1-25 for horse and rider. 100 points possible, but never been done. Highest score wins.

• Steer Wrestling: After giving the steer an allotted head start, your horse runs past the steer, the contestant jumps off the horse onto the steer. Time stops when the steer is laid down. Fastest time wins.

• Team Roping: A team of cowboys (2) give the steer an allotted head start, the header (left) will rope the steers horns, when the steer changes directions the heeler ropes the back feet. Time stops when ropes are tight and ropers are facing each other. Fastest time wins.

• Saddle Bronc Riding: Contestant rides a bucking horse for 8 seconds using a specialized saddle and bronc rein all while keeping your free arm from making contact with the horse. Horses are judged 1-25 and the riders scored from 1-25, with 2 judges riding for possible 100 points (never been done). Highest score wins.

• Tie Down Roping: Calf roping is a single contestant sport. After giving the calf an allotted head start, ride to the calf, rope it and dismount, lay the calf down and tie three legs together. When the roper raises his hands the time will stop. Fastest time wins.

• Breakaway Roping: Breakaway Roping is a single contestant sport for women only. The calf gets a head start like calf roping, but after the cowgirl ropes the calf the rope “breaks away” from the saddle to stop the clock. Fastest time wins.

• Barrel Racing: Race around three barrels in a cloverleaf pattern as fast as possible. Laser eye timers and used to separate times in the .00 (100th) of a second. Knock a barrel over, add 5 seconds. Fastest time wins.

• Bull Riding: Stay on a bucking bull for 8 seconds with one hand holding a bull rope without allowing your free arm to make contact with the bull. With 2 judges, bulls are judged 1-25 and rider judges 1-25. (Possible 100) The tougher the bull the higher possible score. Bulls get a score if the riders stays on 8 seconds or not. Highest score wins.

• All Around Champion Riding: When a contestant competes and wins money in 2 or more events he/she is in the ALL AROUND Competition. Highest money winner wins.

A Field Pass is an upgrade that gives you access to the floor during the concert portion of the night. Must be purchased in addition to an event ticket.

Plan to spend 5–6 hours onsite, including the Hondo Street Festival, rodeo competition, and full concert each night.

All sales are final. However, if you accidentally bought an upgrade (like a Field Pass) without an event ticket, you’ll need to purchase a main ticket to enter.
